Margaret J. Poux

Margaret J. Poux, 95, formerly of Titusville, passed away Friday morning October 20, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Poux was born on March 25, 1928 in Oil City, PA, a daughter of the late Gardiner and Clara Lippert Kindervater. She was married to Robert J. Poux on November 9, 1946 at St. Hippolyte Church in Frenchtown. He preceded her in death on September 7, 2015.

Mrs. Poux was a graduate of St. Agatha School, class of 1946.

Mrs. Poux was a member of St. Titus Church. She was past president of St. Titus School’s Parent Teachers Association and was a former den mother of St. Titus Pack 92 Cub Scouts.

She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Susan Poux of Cary, NC; her children, Michael G. Poux and wife Sharon of Cochranton, Christopher J. Poux and wife Brenda of Meadville, Clare Ann Carter and husband Edward of Mineral City, OH, Phillip C. Poux and wife Rhonda of Memphis, TN, Danielle Schrantz and husband Stephen of Meadville, and Mary Andree Poux of Erie; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and a great great granddaughter; a brother, Charles F. Kindervater and wife Pauline of Bradford; numerous nieces and nephews; and a dear friend William Stec of Titusville.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Col. Robert J. Poux, and a son-in-law, Lee Geiger.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at St. Titus Church with Fr. Christopher Barnes as celebrant.

Interment will be in St. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
