Margaret J. (Blake) Yonek

Margaret J. "Peggy" Yonek, 84, formerly of Pleasantville, passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at the Titusville Healthcare and Rehab Center.

Peggy was born on July 14, 1939, in Mercer, PA, to the late Samuel E. and Lydia A. Heckathorn Blake. She married Richard Yonek on June 25, 1969, in New Wilmington.

She was a graduate of Wilmington Area High School, Class of 1956, and Sharon General School of Nursing in 1959.

Peggy worked as a registered nurse at Warren General Hospital, then private practices for 5 years, Grandview and Beverly Healthcare Nursing Home, and was last employed with the Titusville Area Hospital at the Tionesta office.

She was an active member in the Pleasantville Community Church and was involved with World Gospel Mission trips to Arizona, Texas, and New Mexico.

Peggy loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons, Jeffrey Jamieson and wife Cathy of Titusville, and Richard Yonek and wife Rebecca of Manchester, PA; two daughters, Gerri Caldwell and husband Scott of Manchester, PA, and Julie Huff and companion Michael Sheesman of Pittsfield; seven grandchildren, Ashley, Chad, Kyle, Cody, Tyler, Christopher, and Stacy; 10 great grandchildren, Ryder, Gavin, Kane, Bennett, Luke, Emiline, Reed, Aubrey, Weslee, and Molly; and her sister Nancy Raich of Hermitage.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home Inc. 303 N. Washington St. and Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Pleasantville Community Church at which time a funeral service will be conducted with Pastor Shawn Jacobson and Pastor Tim Smitley, officiating.

Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Pleasantville.
