Marilyn E. Daugherty, 87, of Butler, formerly of Titusville, passed away Friday morning June 5, 2026.
Marilyn was born on April 13, 1939 in Titusville, PA, a daughter of the late Rev. Harry L. Girts and Naomi Voorhees Girts. She was married to Ralph W. Daugherty on October 30, 1968 in Vestal, NY.
She and her husband Ralph owned the former Murdoch's Flower Shop and Greenhouse in Titusville.
Marilyn was a member of the Butler First Church of the Nazarene where she was active in many church functions. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, reading and listening to music.
Marilyn is survived by her husband Ralph of Butler; a son, Kevin Daugherty and wife Jacqueline of Butler; two granddaughters, Elizabeth and Elodie Daugherty; a sister, Carolyn Witherow and husband Robert of Sidney, NY; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Rev. Larry R. Girts.
Friends may call at the Butler First Church of the Nazarene 4410 Oakdale Rd. Meridian PA 16001 on Tuesday, June 9th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at which time the funeral service will be conducted with Rev. Stephen Smith and Rev. Millie Martsolf officiating.
Interment will be in Jerusalem Corners Cemetery in Pleasantville, PA.
The family asks that memorial contributions may be made to the Butler First Church of the Nazarene or to Titusville Free Methodist Church 42490 State Route 27 Titusville, PA 16354.
