Mary Fratus Obituary

Mary E. Fratus, 83, of Titusville, passed away Monday morning January 9, 2023, at her residence.

Mary was born on October 11, 1939, in Titusville, a daughter of the late Arthur and Catherine Markovitch Nellis. She was married to Robert Fratus who preceded her in death on November 11, 2002.

Mary was a graduate of Colestock High School.

She had been employed for 17 years as an aide at the Titusville Area Hospital from where she retired and was previously employed for 14 years at Farley's Industrial Laundry.

Mary was and avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates fan. She enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her good friend Debbie Richards as well as her many other friends.

Mary enjoyed spending time with her family and was most proud of her grandsons. She also loved the family pets, “Finn” and “Bertram”.

She is survived by her three daughters, Vicki Farr of Austin, TX, Tonja Carson and fiancée Chris Evans of Townville, and Susan Bernard and husband Randy of Titusville; her two grandsons, Tobey Bernard and companion Hali Iliff, and Tayler Bernard and companion Allison Osborn; a sister, Beverly McGinnett of Edinboro; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by and infant granddaughter, Katee Marie Bernard; a brother, Arthur Nellis; and a sister, Rosalie Conner.

No public services will be conducted. Private interment will be in Jerusalem Corners Cemetery.
