Mary A. Hartman, 75, of Centerville, passed away on August 24, 2025, at her residence after a courageous battle with cancer.
Mary was born on December 7, 1949, in Meadville, a daughter to the late Homer and Paula Corey Brown. She married the love of her life Joseph R. Hartman on July 25, 1969. He preceded her in death on September 25, 2021. They were happily married for 52 years.
She was a graduate of Townville High School, Class of 1967.
Mary was a hard worker and enjoyed keeping herself busy and orderly, she was employed by Therma-Fab Inc. in Titusville, for many years and took pride in her work. After she retired, she volunteered at numerous places such as the Hydetown Volunteer Fire Department, where she was a board member, auxiliary member, and financial secretary, and helped wherever it was needed.
She was an avid reader and bingo player, she would look forward to playing bingo at the Hydetown VFD and Titusville VFW. She enjoyed watching Law and Order and various game shows and playing logic puzzles to keep her mind sharp.
Mary is survived by her two children, Bernie Hartman and his significant other Diane Lewis of Centerville, and Jill Hartman Crowder and her significant other Michael Parks of Grove City; her three beautiful granddaughters, Caitlin Hartman and companion Jason Le of Mount Lebanon, PA, Lindsey Hartman and fiancé Devin Nearhoof of Pittsburgh, and Feliciti Crowder and companion Johnny Gonzalez of Chicago; her great granddaughters, Lennox and Vayda Le of Mount Lebanon; her brothers, Gary Brown and wife Kim, Larry Brown and wife Rita, and Daniel McGowan and wife Beverly; and her sister, Kim Templin.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert McGowan, Jerry McGowan, Kevin McGowan and Martin McGowan.
In loving memory of Mary, the family asked that memorial contributions be made out to the Hydetown Volunteer Fire Department, 12638 Main Street, Hydetown, PA 16328.
No services will be observed.
