Mary J. Hulsizer, 94, of Titusville, passed away Tuesday morning April 22, 2025 at Titusville Health Care and Rehabilitation Center following complications from RSV and pneumonia.
Mary was born on October 31, 1930 in Oil City, a daughter of the late Charles and Lily Thompson Potter. She was first married to Donald Norman who preceded her in death. She later married Grover Hulsizer who preceded her in death on December 6, 1989.
Mary was a graduate of Oil City High School.
She was a former member of Faith Community Church in Enterprise.
Mary was an avid gardener. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and was an extreme canner of many foods.
She is survived by her daughter, Cyndi Shaffer of Titusville; a son, Jeffrey Hulsizer of Tennessee; grandsons, Duston Delp and wife Julie of Waterford, Kristofer Hulsizer and wife Ashley of Titusville and Jesse Hulsizer of Titusville; a step-grandson, Daniel DeShong of Oil City; several great grandchildren which includes Christian Horton; a great great grandson, Ronan; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Robert Shaffer who she loved dearly like a son.
A private service for the family will be conducted at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville, PA.
Interment will be in Plumer Cemetery.
