Obituary
Mary Ellen Kightlinger, 86, of Titusville, passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2023, at the Titusville Area Hospital.
Mary Ellen was born on April 13, 1937, in Titusville to the late Jack D. and Clara P. Peterson Neely. She married Edward E. Kightlinger on February 8, 1957, at Clymer, NY. He preceded her in death on November 27, 2021. They were happily married for 64 years.
She was a graduate of Titusville High School.
Mary Ellen worked at Second National Bank, Marine Bank and PNC Bank in Titusville for over 30 years until her retirement.
She enjoyed gardening, canning, camping, boating, and traveling with her husband.
Mary Ellen is survived by daughter, Debra Peluso and husband Nick of Titusville; brother Jack D. Neely, Jr. and wife Diane of Charlotte, NC; and two brothers-in-law, George Meerhoff of Mt. Pleasant, PA, and Howard Kightlinger and companion Jolayne Confer of Erie; a close friend Kandy Bauer of Titusville; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by a sister Patricia Meerhoff.
Visitation will be held at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home Inc. 303 N. Washington St. on Wednesday from 1 to 3 p.m. at which time a funeral service will be conducted with pastor Jerome Alsdorf, officiating.
Interment will be at Kerr Hill Cemetery.
