Mary L. Sampson, 91, of Titusville, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2026, at Southwoods Assisted Living.
Mary was born in Tidioute on August 16, 1934, to the late Russell and Bernice Martin Hunter. She married Charles H. Sampson in November 1956 in Tidioute.
She was a graduate of Tidioute High School.
Mary was employed at Skyline Industries and later worked for many years at Sears in Titusville, where she eventually became the store owner. In her later years, she joined Union Street Dental, where she remained until her retirement.
She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Tidioute, a member of the Titusville Moose Lodge, and a social member of the Bruce Shorts Post 5958 VFW.
Mary enjoyed traveling extensively with her husband and cherished time spent on vacations with family and friends. She found joy in gardening and working outdoors, but above all, her family meant the world to her.
Mary is survived by her husband Charles of Titusville; four children, Debra Sampson and companion, Kevin Hasbrouck of Centerville, Diane Fye and Mike of Centerville, Steve Sampson and Jody of Grand Valley, and Shawn and Jennifer Sampson of Centerville; five grandchildren, Stacy Proper and husband Rob, Jason Kuhn, Matt Fye and wife Lauren, Sophia Sampson, and Quincy Sampson; three great grandchildren, Sam Proper, and Grant and Gavin Fye; her sister Sarah McLaughlin; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, William Hunter, Ruth Miller, and Patricia Christy.
Visitation will be held at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home Inc. 303 N. Washington St. Titusville on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and again Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at which time a funeral service will be conducted with Fr. Daniel Hoffman, officiating.
Interment will be at Triumph Swedish Union Cemetery.
