Mary Darlene Aul, 90, of Spartansburg passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at the Corry Manor.
Mary was born on September 18, 1933, in Pittsburgh to the late Joseph and Henrietta (Gebpart) Zyks. She married David Aul, Sr., on August 18, 1956, in Pittsburgh. Mr. Aul preceded her in death on September 16, 2023.
She was a graduate of St. Joseph's High School in Pittsburgh.
Mary was formerly employed by a bank in Pittsburgh, and the US Postal Service in Pittsburgh for 10 years. The family moved to Spartansburg to run Daul's Dairy Farm which she and Dave owned, and again she worked for the Post Office in Spartansburg for 10 years until her retirement.
Mary was a member of Mageetown Immaculate Conception Church and the Bruce Shorts Post 5958 VFW Auxiliary.
She loved to cook for the family and those helping on the farm.
Mary is survived by her children, Jeannie Stuchell and husband Rick of Spartansburg, Kay Yecko of Pittsburgh, Ruth Ann Woods and significant other Dave Miller of Pittsburgh, David J. Aul, Jr and wife Cheryl of Spartansburg, Tom Aul and wife Melissa of Spartansburg; daughter-in-law, Roseann "Rosie" Aul of Centerville; 15 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Matthew J. Aul; 2 infant grandchildren; and a brother, Joseph Zyks.
Visitation will be at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St., on Saturday, December 9th from 10:00 to 11:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Noon in the Mageetown Immaculate Conception Church with Fr. Christian Barnes as celebrant.
Interment will be in Immaculate Conception Church.
