Mary Lou Lesko, 87, of Titusville, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at Southwoods Assisted Living Community.
Mary Lou was born in Titusville on January 18, 1937, to the late Joseph C. and Mary Davison Hettrick. She married Donald J. Lesko on July 20, 1957, at St. Walburga Church. He preceded her in death on December 6, 2021.
She was a graduate of Colestock High School, Class of 1954.
She was a member of St. Walburga and St. Titus Churches.
Mary Lou was a devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, Grammie and great-Grammie. She openly shared her wisdom with her family. She enjoyed yard sales, crafting, cross stich, and not watching basketball. She loved spending time with and spoiling her grandchildren. She also loved cooking and baking. She was famous for her potato soup as well as her cookies.
She is survived by her six children Lee Ann Borden and husband, David, of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, DJ Lesko and wife, Karen, of LaVale, MD, Todd Lesko of Titusville, Lynna Heinze of Baltimore, MD, Aaron Lesko and wife, Tammy, of Raleigh, NC, and Adam Lesko and wife, Angie, of Tionesta, PA; 17 grandchildren; Duster, Carrie (Ed), Jenna, Lanie (Caleb), Julie (Darrell), Alyssa, Zane, Karee, Jack, Luke, Zak (Tricia), Kylee, Zoey, Abby, Nora, Evelyn, and Mary; 4 great-granddaughters, Ivy, Emma, Layla, and Keziah; a sister-in-law Audrey Hettrick; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law Judy L. Lesko; and her siblings Jean Kuzmich, Betty J. Boyle, and Louis Hettrick.
Visitation will be held at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home Inc. 303 N. Washington St. Titusville on Sunday, March 10th from 4 to 6 p.m. A funeral mass will be conducted on Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Titus Church with Fr. Christopher Barnes, officiating.
Interment will be at St. Catharines Cemetery.
