With profound love and deep sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Maxine E. Struchen, 76, of Titusville, who passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on January 21, 2026 with her loving family by her side.
Born in Venus, PA on January 23, 1949, a daughter of the late Harold and Mary Knapp Delp, Maxine lived a life defined by kindness, resilience, and an unwavering devotion to those she loved. She was more than a mother - she was a guiding light, safe harbor, and the heart of our family.
She attended Albion Area High School where she received her GED and obtained her Associate Secretarial Degree in Titusville, PA.
Maxine had a love of reading and enjoyed sewing and crafting. Thrifting was a true passion where she found treasures for her children, grandchildren and loved ones. She enjoyed cooking and large family gatherings. She loved her family deeply but that didn't stop her from bossing her children around (her words).
She is survived by her children, David Gariepy and companion Kim Weber of Fairview, PA, Alice Gariepy-Hiscox of Titusville, Tammy Beers and husband John of Girard, PA, James "Rich" Struchen and wife Laura of Titusville, Ashley Nirmaeir and husband Rayne of Pleasantville and Dillon Vincent of Titusville whom she loved as a son. Her grandchildren, Kayla, Jessica, Jennifer, Cody, Katelynn, Garett; her 6 great grandchildren; her brothers, Thomas Delp of Union City, Michael Delp of Oil City, David "Mo" Delp of Oil City; her sisters, Ruth Fike of Oil City; her sister in law, Nancy Delp; and best friend, Mickey "Milo" Allen of Pleasantville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Frank E. Gariepy; her brothers, LeRoy Delp, Harold "Sony" Delp, Albert "Tub" Delp, Robert Delp, James Delp, John "Joe" Delp; and her sisters Annetta Jean McCurry, Kathy Fike, and Susan Delp-Edmiston.
No services will be observed at this time. A celebration life will be planned for a later date.
The family asks that memorials be made to Benson Memorial Library in Titusville by purchasing a book in her honor or a donation to the Venango County Humane Society, 286 S. Main St., Seneca, PA 16346.
Interment will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Brookville, PA.
