Mildred B. Steffens, 61, of Spring Creek, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her family.
Mildred was born on December 22, 1962, in Titusville, a daughter of the late Edward C. and Marjorie Thompson Steffens.
She was a graduate of Corry High School, Class of 1981. After high school, she attended an LPN program in Warren County to obtain her certification.
Mildred became an LPN in 1982 and worked at various locations for the next 40 years. She started at Sunset Manor in Titusville, worked at Western Reserve Healthcare and Rehab in Erie for the next 20 years and ended her career at the Rouse Home in Youngsville, PA. She took pride in her work and truly enjoyed being around her residents.
She was very involved at the Midway Alliance Church, she volunteered as a Sunday school teacher, Head Deaconess, Youth Ministry programs, and enjoyed working in the church nursery.
Mildred enjoyed gardening, reading, traveling and keeping up with her family and friends on Facebook.
She is survived by her siblings, Peggy Chapman and husband David of Warren, Densie Marie Wyman of Myrtle Beach, SC, Nancy Steffens and companion Ralph Bonini of Youngsville, Mary Anne Steffens of Spring Creek, Lee Campbell and husband Joe of Spring Creek, and Charles Steffens and wife Mary Beth of Spring Creek, PA; 22 nieces and nephews, 39 great nieces and nephews, and 20 great- great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Jesse John Brenizer Jr., Clyde Edward Brenizer, Enos Brenizer, Barry Brenizer, and two nieces.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 2, 2024, from 11 AM to Noon, at the Midway Alliance Church, 6330 Oil Creek Road, Spartansburg, PA 16434. A funeral service will begin at noon with Rev. Eric Swartzbaugh officiating.
Interment will be at East Branch Cemetery.
