Obituary

Nadene P. Hipple of Ellwood City, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Nadene was born on April 13, 1944, a daughter of the late Myrl and Helen Disque Paup. She was married to Norman Hipple on August 10, 1963 in Pleasantville.

Nadene was a graduate of the Pleasantville High School, class of 1962. She had worked at the Pleasantville Elementary School and after moving to Ellwood City, she worked at Riverside High School until her retirement in 2010.

Nadene enjoyed going to the casino, playing bingo with her friends in Ellwood City, and watching sports, both professional and her grandchildren’s sporting events. She enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, and traveling with her husband. She loved to bake, especially her decorated sugar cookies for the holidays.

Nadene is survived by her husband of 59 years, Norman Hipple; two sons, Jeffry Hipple and wife Sherry of Pleasantville, and Kevin Hipple and wife Tracy of Pleasantville; grandchildren, Shannon, Chris, John, Erik, and Lucas; seven great grandchildren; a brother, Tim Paup of Erie; and a niece, Patty Edwards of Titusville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Dollie Warner.

As per her wishes, services will be private for the family.

Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

The family asks that memorials be made to the charity of one’s choice.
