Nancy R. Ewing, 85, formerly of Pleasantville passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at the Chandler Regional Medical Center in Chandler Arizona.
Nancy was born on April 5, 1939, in Oil City, a daughter of the late Jessie and Virginia Proper Hanna. She married Harold "Hap" Ewing on June 8, 1957. He preceded her in death on September 28, 2021.
She was a graduate of Cranberry High School, Class of 1957.
She was a member of the Pleasantville Free Methodist Church and the Sun Lakes Community Church in Chandler, AZ.
She enjoyed cooking and baking in her youth, reading, crosswords and crocheting. Most of all, she loved to be around her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Nancy is survived by her two sons, Randy Ewing of Oil City, Todd Ewing and companion Joann Harris of Chandler AZ; four grandchildren, Paul Johnson III and wife Danielle of Pheonix, Justin Johnson and wife Lauren of New York City, Joshua Ewing and wife Crystal of Oil City, Kaelyn Ewing and fiancé Kevin of Guys Mills; six great grandchildren, Rayleigh Baker, Cohen Johnson, Cooper Johnson, Summer Johnson, Oaklyn Proverb, and Delaney Proverb; two sisters, Bonnie Manard and husband Keith of Scottsdale AZ, and Judy Carbaugh of Seneca PA.
In addition to her parents and husband, Nancy was preceded in death by her daughter Christa Ewing, and her three brothers, John Hanna, Paul Hanna and Jim Hanna.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 1, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home Inc. 303 N Washington Street, Titusville, PA 16354. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Chuck Riel officiating.
Interment will be at Union Cemetery.
