Nancy I. Worden, 90, of Titusville, passed away Thursday morning January 16, 2025 at the Titusville Area Hospital following an extended illness.
Nancy was born on November 30, 1934 in Titusville, a daughter of the late Harry and Margaret Murphy Rodgers. She was married to Donald C. Worden on September 25, 1954 in Titusville, PA. He preceded her in death on March 17, 2010.
Nancy was a graduate of Consolidated High School of Townville, class of 1952.
She had been employed for 14 years at the Keystone Ford Agency and the Department of Motor Vehicles in Whittier, CA. Following Don’s retirement in California, they moved back to Titusville, PA.
Nancy was a member of the former Diamond United Methodist Church and a member of the Titusville Methodist Church. She was past president of the Titusville Hospital Auxiliary and was a volunteer with the Titusville YWCA. She was a member of the Titusville Woman’s Club and was a life member of the Presbyterian Hospital Auxiliary in Whittier, CA.
Nancy was past president of Pennsylvania Hospital Association (PAHA). She was also a life member of the Bruce Shorts Post 5958 VFW Ladies Auxiliary and also a member of the former Acacia Chapter No. 30 O.E.S.
Nancy is survived by a daughter, Beth Anne Worden of Titusville; a son, Donald Scott Worden of North Carolina; three grandchildren, Marrisa Wright, Kori Worden Tibbens and husband Brian, and Megan Worden; five great grandchildren, Isabella Brown, Cooper “T” Huston, Gracie Wright, Charlotte Tibbens and Carson Tibbens; a great great grandson, Badger Brown; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Michael J. Worden and Jeffrey Russell Worden; a grandson, Phillip “Buddy” Worden; a brother, James Rodgers; and four sisters, Virginia Petrosky, Ruth Strawbridge, Joanne Henderson and Lois Worden.
No public visitation will be held.
Private interment will be in Kerr Hill Cemetery.
