Okcha VanEpps, 76, of Titusville, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2026, after an eight-year battle with dementia. Okcha’s family asks that you remember her as the witty, comical, and loving woman she was, rather than who she became as her illness took hold.
Okcha thrived on making people laugh and having a good time. She loved enjoying a whiskey and coke with a Marlboro Light 100, and she was often the life of the party. Okcha also loved plants, flowers, knitting, her two mini Yorkies, Maggie and Lexi, and cooking Korean meals for her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clair VanEpps; her parents and siblings in South Korea; and her bonus grandson, Samuel J. Sampson. She is survived by her two daughters, April Sampson and Linda VanEpps; her son-in-law, Todd Sampson; and her grandchildren: Ben Sampson, Xavier Eckonen, Cori Rapp (husband Ethan Rapp), Tyler VanEpps, and bonus grandson Zaden Dale. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren: Jaxson Sampson, Charlotte Stearns, Marley Sampson, Aubree Sampson, Olivia Eckonen, and Noah Rapp, as well as her four stepsons and their families.
Our family invites you to raise a glass of whiskey and coke in Okcha’s memory. She will be deeply missed, but her laughter will live on in our hearts.
