Patricia Hummer Geisendorfer

Patricia Hummer Geisendorfer passed away on July 10th in Rancho Mirage, California. She was 95. Born in Titusville on December 27, 1929, to George Marion and Arabelle Rumbaugh Hummer, Patricia had three brothers: John Wright, James Knight, and Paul Dwight.

Patricia was raised on the Muchinhope Farm in the Bethel community north of Titusville and attended Hummer School, a one-room schoolhouse through the 8th grade. After graduating Colestock High School in 1947, she attended Allegheny College and graduated University of Michigan in 1952 with a bachelor’s degree in music education. After earning a teaching certificate, Patricia taught in Detroit Elementary schools.

Marrying Henry Albert Geisendorfer, Patricia raised four sons before working for Family Service Association, Kimberly Clark, and as a receptionist at Integra (National City) Bank. She lived on West Oak in Titusville over 30 years, before relocating in her final years to California.

Patricia is survived by her son Henry “Guy” Albert Geisendorfer IV, James “Jamie” Culp Geisendorfer and wife Jan, Gregg Geisendorfer and husband Gary Jackson, and her grandchildren Emeline Geisendorfer, Garrett Geisendorfer, Matt Geisendorfer and wife Amanda, and Zach Geisendorfer. She was preceded in death by her brothers, John Hummer, James Hummer, Paul Hummer, son George Geisendorfer and his daughter Jeanette.

Patricia Hummer Geisendorfer’s memorial service will be held at the chapel at Union Cemetery 14470 Church Run Rd. Titusville, PA 16354 on Wednesday, August 13th at 10:00 a.m. A brief interment will be held after the service.
