Peggy L. Welter, 84, of Union, Kentucky, passed away on April 19, 2024, at the Boonespring Skilled Nursing Facility, in Union Kentucky.
Peggy was born in Titusville on August 8, 1939, a daughter of the late Elmer and Dolores Ohl. She married Michael Welter on June 8, 1968, in Alexandria Virginia.
She was a graduate of Meadville High School, Class of 1957.
Peggy worked for the government as a budget analyst, she retired in 2000.
Peggy was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Franklin, PA. She held many positions at the church for several years and enjoyed going every Sunday. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed Genealogy and Ancestry. Peggy was very patriotic, after the 9/11 terrorist attack, she helped to rebuild offices at the Pentagon, in Washington D.C.
Peggy is survived by her husband Mike of Union, KY; her son, Michael Welter Jr. and wife Kristin of Woodenville, WA; three daughters, Sandra Wodskow of Union, KY, Bobbi Henderson of Oil City, and Rachael Welter of Oil City; a sister, Connie Pursley and husband Eldon of French Lick, IN; 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1449 Thompson Road, Franklin, PA 16323 on Friday April 26, 2024 from 6 - 8 p.m. and on Saturday, April 27, from 9:30 - 10 a.m. with a funeral service to follow.
Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery.
