Regis C. Wright, 75, of Grand Valley, PA, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, March 18, 2024, at Warren General Hospital.
Regis was born on August 23, 1948, in Titusville, the son of the late Robert W. and Eleanor Johnson Wright. He graduated from Youngsville High School in 1966 and served in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1970, stationed in Germany. After his service, Regis embarked on a successful 30-year career at PennDOT.
Regis, a worldwide traveler, especially enjoyed visiting Civil War battlefields and historical sites like the Crazy Horse Memorial in South Dakota. He was known as "Wolf" to his fellow hunting enthusiasts and cherished spending countless hours outdoors with family and friends. Whether riding 4-wheelers in the woods, sharing stories on his front porch, or throwing his annual corn roast party (a tradition for the past 53 years!), Regis created lasting memories for all who knew him.
Regis is survived by his wife, Donna Day, whom he married on February 22, 1994, in Las Vegas; a sister, Roxanna Marino and husband Joseph of Warren; two beloved nephews, Matthew (Meagan) Marino of Pittsburgh and Michael (Sara) Marino and a great-niece Eleanor of North Carolina.
In addition to his parents, Regis is preceded in death by a close friend Gary Neal.
Services for Regis will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
