Richard Allen Obituary

          Richard W. Allen, 54, of Linesville, passed away Sunday, April 23, 2023 at UPMC Hamot in Erie.

          Rick was born on August 1, 1968 in Union City, PA, a son of Richard L. Allen and Judy Parker Lewis. Rick was a graduate of Titusville High School. He had been self-employed as a logger and also had worked for Fred Cleland for many years. He had also been employed at Meadville Ambulance as an EMT; as a security guard at Vitro in Meadville; and was a member of the Centerville Volunteer Fire Department where he had served as fire chief.

          Rick enjoyed taking his pet dog “Darley” for rides in his truck. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, taking walks, going to yard sales, hunting, fishing and cooking.

          Rick is survived by his father, Richard L. Allen of Grand Valley; his mother and step-father, Judy Lewis and Robert Lewis; a daughter, Wendy Allen and fiancée Jordan White of Meadville; a step-daughter, Kayla See and husband Todd of Centerville; several step-grandchildren; a sister, Connie Osborn of Titusville; a brother, Ronald Allen and wife Sheila of Titusville; a nephew, Wesley Allen of Titusville; a niece, Courtney Allen of Meadville; and close friends, Denise Allen, Brian Corliss, Jeremy Bidwell, Hilary Udell and husband Alden and Amari, and John and Kim Wright.

          He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Scott Osborn; and a step-granddaughter, Corrianne Lynn See.

          No public calling hours will be observed. A celebration of Rick’s life will be held at a later date.
