Robert V. Danielson, 92, of Pleasantville, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday morning June 25, 2025 with his loving wife by his side.
Bob was born on March 14, 1933 in Erie, PA, a son of the late Aloit Vance Danielson and Hazel Hubbel Danielson. He was married to the love of his life, Virginia Brown, on October 11, 1991 in Conneaut, OH.
Bob was a graduate of Wattsburg High School, class of 1951. Bob was a veteran having served in the US Army. He entered the service on May 1, 1953 at Buffalo, NY and was honorably discharged at Ft. Carson, Colorado on December 17, 1957 with the rank of sergeant.
Bob had been employed at Morlite in Girard, PA for a number of years until his retirement in 1995. He had previously been employed at the former Copes-Vulcan Co. in Lake City, PA.
Bob was a member of both the American Legion and VFW in Titusville. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, riding his ATV with his pet dog “Sara”, especially cutting, hauling and stocking firewood all year long. He was fortunate to have taken a record Moose on a hunt in Alaska in 1968. Bob also enjoyed cooking, canning, and trying new recipes. He was an avid Cleveland Guardians and Browns fan. He also enjoyed tinkering and woodworking.
Bob is survived by his loving wife Virginia of Pleasantville; children, Tamra Thorr and husband Stephen of Conneaut, OH, Robert V. Danielson, Jr. and wife Christine of Erie, Debi Larsen and husband Mike, and Randy Danielson and wife Lori, all of Cranesville, OH, Sandy Marcy and husband Paul of Albion, Theresa Napier and husband Mike of Aliquippa; step-children, Jim Lyons and wife Angel, Angela Lyons and partner Mike, Melissa Miller and partner Damon, all of Mentor, OH, and Jennifer Deliz and husband Dre of Guam; numerous grandchildren and step-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many friends acquired over the years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two infant sisters; and a sister, Ruth Keep.
No services will be observed.
The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Bruce Shorts Post 5958 VFW 206 St. John St. Titusville, PA 16354; to the Cleo J. Ross Post 368 American Legion 113 E. Central Ave. Titusville, PA 16354; or to any local Humane Society.
Private interment will be in Wattsburg Cemetery.
