Robert S. “Porky” Piskurich, 87, of Tidioute, formerly of Pittsburgh, passed away Thursday afternoon, January 25, 2024 at Warren General Hospital in Warren, PA.
Porky was born on July 28, 1936 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Stephen and Barbara Rubinich Piskurich. He was married to Agnes Slattery who preceded him in death.
Porky had been employed as a postal worker in Pittsburgh from where he retired. Following his retirement, he moved to Tidioute, PA where he enjoyed sitting outside viewing the Allegheny River and the wildlife surrounding him.
He was a veteran having served in the US Army. Porky was a member of the VFW and American Legion posts in Tidioute, PA.
He is survived by his loving family which includes his daughter, Karen Piskurich and husband Douglas Hallam of Bowie, MD; two grandsons, Quin Robert William Hallam and Collin Slattery Hallam; a brother, Stephen S. Piskurich of Pittsburgh; and nieces and nephews, Stephen, Michael, Pamela and Sheila Piskurich; and close friend, John Abate.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Robert J. Piskurich.
No public visitation or service will be observed. A celebration of his life will be held this summer in Tidioute, PA at a time and place to be announced.
