Rosemary Snyder Obituary

Rosemary “Rosie” Snyder, 69, of Titusville, passed away unexpectedly Friday morning June 7, 2024 at her residence.

Rosie was born on February 12, 1955 in Titusville, PA, a daughter of the late Welden and Pauline Hicks McCalmont. She was married to Gary E. Snyder on July 14, 1990 in Las Vegas, NV.

Rosie was a graduate of Titusville High School. She had been employed for a number of years at the former Queen Cutlery in Titusville. She had also been employed at Andover Industries in Meadville and as a domestic worker.

Rosie was a member of the Bruce Shorts Post 5958 VFW Ladies Auxiliary and a social member of the Cleo J. Ross Post 368 American Legion. She loved to dance and sing karaoke. She enjoyed her miniature ponies, but enjoyed most being a grandma.

Rosie is survived by her husband Gary of Titusville; children, Jason Stroup of Titusville, Joshua Stroup and wife Elizabeth “Betty” of Erie, Kyle Snyder of Youngstown, OH, Tyler Snyder of Dallas, TX, Avin Snyder and wife Nadine of Philadelphia and Johnna Boughner and husband Greg of Cochranton; 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; a brother, Samuel McCalmont of Titusville; a sister, Debra Foote of Titusville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Ira Snyder; a sister, Kathryn Radabaugh; and three brothers, Terry, Gerald, and Mark McCalmont.

Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville, PA 16354 on Wednesday, June 12th from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at which time the funeral service will be conducted.

Interment will be in East Troy Cemetery.

The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Bruce Shorts Post 5958 VFW 206 St. John St. Titusville, PA 16354.
