Ruel "BJ" A Root, IV

Ruel August Root IV, 36, of Titusville, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at his residence.

BJ was born December 19, 1987, to Ruel August Root III (Bud) and Tamara S. Root (Tammy), of Titusville. He is preceded in death by both his paternal and maternal grandparents; Ruel August Root, Jr. and Audrey E. Root, and Alfred N. Pedder and Delores Jean Pedder.

He was a 2006 graduate of Titusville High School and a 2008 graduate of Triangle Tech in Erie, PA.

BJ is survived by his 11-year-old son, Carter, who was his pride and joy and loved very much. He is also survived by his parents, Bud and Tammy, his three sisters; Andrea Simpson (Joe) of Shippenville, PA, Stacey Gotchy (Todd), of Saegertown, PA, and Casey Trial (Clint), of Kerrville, TX, and two nephews and a niece; Zach, Luke, and Callie.

BJ was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed spending time outside with his son, hunting, fishing, and walking in the woods. Spending time with his son is what brought true happiness to his life.

No calling hours will be observed. A private service will be held for immediate family only.

In lieu of flowers, it is requested that memorial donations be contributed to his son's future/college fund. Any contribution can be made to his grandma, Tamara S. Root c/o Carter Root, 11631 Johnson Road, Titusville PA 16354.
