Shirley Fuller Stewart, 86 years old, of Pleasantville, passed away on February 29, 2024, peacefully in her sleep at the Titusville Hospital.
Shirley was born on January 3, 1938, in Warren to the late Alva B. and Marian E. Foster Fuller. She married Robert C. Stewart on October 19, 1957, in Grand Valley, United Brethren Church.
She graduated from Youngsville High School, Class of 1955, and Raphael School of Beauty in Jamestown, NY.
Shirley owned and operated Shirley's Cut N Curl in Pleasantville since 1986. She also worked as an Assistant Manager of Penn Bank in Pleasantville and the District Magistrate Office in Pleasantville.
Shirley was a member of the Pleasantville Presbyterian Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher and usher captain for many years.
Shirley enjoyed crocheting, yard sales, reading, having lunch with her friends, and was a big fan of the Steelers. She also loved her dog, Nutmeg.
She is survived by her husband, Robert C. Stewart, and her twin sons, James and wife Kay Stewart of Pleasantville, PA, and John R. Stewart and wife Bunny Stewart of Dover, PA. Grandchildren are James G. Stewart, II and wife Anna of Ohio, and two great-granddaughters Maddie and Arya: and granddaughter Jennie Anna and husband Robin Nystrom. Nephews and Nieces: Ronald Carr, Cindy Carr Strickland, Ralph Carr, Shelly Carr Maynard, and Stanley Carr; Gary Brown, Joni Brown Owens; Becky Steadman Yonek and Randy Steadman; Jill Messinger-Jacokes and Jason Messinger.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Joanne Carr, Marilyn Brown, Alan Fuller, Sylvia Steadman, Sue Messinger, and niece Michelle Messinger.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 16th at 11:00 a.m. at the Pleasantville Presbyterian Church with Rev. David Duquette, officiating.
Private interment will take place at Jerusalem Corners Cemetery.
