Theodore A. Slother

Theodore A. “Ted” Slother, 92, of Titusville, formerly of Pleasantville, passed away Friday morning March 8, 2024 at Country Acres Personal Care Home following an extended illness.

Ted was born on March 31, 1931 in Philipsburg, PA, a son of the late John and Julia Tekeley Slother. He was married to Loretta Hansen on December 2, 1950 in Philipsburg. She preceded him in death on April 13, 2010.

Ted was a graduate of the Philipsburg High School. He had been employed at the former Universal Cyclops Specialty Steel Corp. in Titusville for 32 years until his retirement. He had also been employed at Weyerhaeuser Company in Titusville for 7 years and was also owner of Ted’s TV Repair.

Ted had attended St. Walburga Church in Titusville. He enjoyed making crafty woodwork items. He also enjoyed watching college and professional football.

Ted is survived by his children: Julia Moore and husband Gary of Rochester, PA, Lawrence Slother and wife Kryslyn of Edinboro, and Judy Foley and husband Jeff of Titusville; grandchildren, Jeffrey Moore and wife Julie, Chad Moore and wife Sarah, Tyler Slother and wife Anna, Eric Foley, and Trevor Foley and wife Renee; great grandchildren, Samantha, Travis, Emmett, Esther and Abraham Moore, Damien and Dakota Slother, and Colton Foley; a brother, Thomas Slother of Ft. Myers, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by seven brothers, Michael, Bernard, Albert, Edward, Pete, John, and infant Steven Slother; and four sisters, Elsie Archer, Frances Webb, Agnes Dickson and Mildred Slother. No public visitation will be observed.

Private interment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Pleasantville.
