Thomas Orwig Obituary

Thomas E. Orwig, beloved husband, father, grandpa and pop pop, 75, of Pittsfield, passed away Saturday morning September 7, 2024 at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Tom was born on February 28, 1949, a son of the late Ervin and Margaret Neely Orwig. He was married to the former Karen Kerr in Titusville.

Tom was a graduate of Townville High School. He was a veteran having served in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict.

Tom had been employed as a chain manager for Quality Markets at multiple locations including Titusville.

Tom enjoyed taking care of his 50 acre property, mowing and riding his tractor and side by side. He enjoyed exploring with his metal detector and was an avid bottle collector. He was a Cleveland Browns fan. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Tom is survived by his wife Karen of Pittsfield; two children, Dustin Orwig and wife Amber of Butler and Jaylyn Worgan and husband Anthony of Youngsville; grandchildren, Alaysia and Abel Orwig, Reese Worgan, and another grandson on the way; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Terry Orwig and a sister, Cheryl Orwig.

Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville, PA 16354 on Thursday, September 12th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and attend the funeral service on Friday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Union Cemetery with full military rites.
