Twila C. Williams, 93, a resident of Oakwood Heights in Oil City, formerly of Pleasantville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 9, 2025.
Twila was born on March 23, 1932 in Titusville to the late Russell and Eva Wright Crawford.
She was a graduate of Titusville High School, class of 1950 and attended Edinboro College to pursue teaching, but left to enroll in the nursing program at Meadville's Spencer Hospital. She worked for Dr. Anderson in Titusville for about 20 years, a job she couldn't wait to go to every morning. After Dr. Anderson passed away, she worked for Pennzoil in Rouseville until her retirement.
She married Kenneth P. Williams on June 26, 1953 in Titusville. He preceded her in death on October 27, 2004.
Twila was a true role model of Christian faith, always willing to help anyone in need. She blessed people with her wonderful soprano voice, using her gift by participating in the Pleasantville Methodist Church's many cantatas. She always had a tune to share. Ask her boys.
Her hobbies were dancing, singing, dining out, cooking, baking, and reading, especially romance novels. She was proficient at so many things, except riding a bike.
She is survived by her sons, Denny Williams and wife Amy, and Mark Williams and wife Deb, all of Titusville; grandchildren, Tess Williams of Titusville, Kristen Snyder and husband Justin of Pleasantville, A.J. MacQuarrie and wife Teisha of Titusville; great grandchildren, Mikayla Williams, Taylor, Addison and Chase MacQuarrie, and Jayden and Brinlee Snyder; her sister, Carol Schuppenhauer of Youngsville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Russell Wayne Crawford.
Twila lived life to the fullest until Alzheimer's disease crept into her life robbing her of her precious memories.
Family and friends may attend a celebration of Twila's life on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Pleasantville Methodist Church 102 Merrick Street Pleasantville, PA 16341 with Pastor Jerome Alsdorf officiating.
Private interment will be in Jerusalem Corners Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Ryan Blaney Family Foundation (for Alzheimer's Disease) P.O. Box 1875 Concord, NC 28026; or to the Pleasantville Methodist Church 102 Merrick St. Pleasantville, PA 16341.
The family wishes to thank Oakwood Height's nursing and Hospice staffs for the compassionate care they gave Twila during her long stay there and are especially grateful for letting her play nurse by allowing her to carry around their clipboard.
