Vance Weldon Obituary

Vance “Butch” Weldon, 71, of Titusville passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2023, at the Corry Manor.

Butch was born on May 27, 1952, in Titusville to the late Bernell E. and Norma (Marsh) Weldon.

He was a graduate of Titusville High School, class of 1971. In his younger years, Butch worked alongside his father in the oil fields where he operated bulldozers. He moved to Atlantic City for several years and enjoyed working as a Valet at the Trump Taj Mahal Casino. After moving back to Titusville, he volunteered for six years at Titusville Airport, working maintenance, and mowing grass.

He enjoyed playing bingo a few nights each week at the Lee Bessler Hall in Seneca. He could play dozens of cards without using markers, he played solely from memory. His passion was cars, he enjoyed visiting local dealerships and checking out the new models. He also enjoyed detailing cars for his family and friends. He loved his Lincoln Town Car which was always shiny and clean.

He is survived by brother, Thomas Berry of Greenville; a sister, Marcia Griffin of Oregon ; 3 nephews, Robert Earnest of Titusville, Andrew Berry of Waterford, and Yuri Weagraff of Arizona; two nieces, Shery Griffin of Oregon, Leianda Lizarraga of Colorado; 2 great-nephews, James Jr. and Brad Lizarraga of Colorado; a great-niece, Kayla Mateer of Colorado; and numerous cousins.

Along with his parents, Butch was preceded in death by his sister Carol Sue Earnest, and nephew Richard Berry.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family asks that memorial contributions be made to Associated Charities, 409 East Central Avenue, Titusville PA 16354.
