Vera Kathryn Hart Renninger, 96, of Shreve Road, Titusville, PA, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2026, at her home surrounded by her family.
Vera was born at home in Rockland, Venango County, on May 15, 1930, the daughter of David Alvy and Goldie Elizabeth (Shontz) Hart.
She married Jack Hazen Renninger on April 6, 1948, in Oil City, PA, in a double-wedding ceremony where Vera's sister Marie married Richard Wayne Fox.
Vera and Jack purchased the old Rose School House in Venango County and made it into a home to raise their five children. Vera loved gardening and being a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, and aunt. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, her son, Wayne, her sisters, Marie Fox, Norma Daly, Audine (Faye) Warner, and Sue Shouey, and her brothers, David (June), LeRoy, and Carl (Butch) Hart.
Vera is survived by her sisters, Lois Carson and Thelma Souders, her son David and wife Dorothy, daughters Terrie and husband Sam Hale, Cathy and husband Jeff Jamieson, Paula and husband Derwood Montgomery, and Wayne's wife Debora. Survivors also include twelve grandchildren Timothy (Kris) Renninger, David (Paula) Renninger, Patrick (Jayme) Walsh, Lindsey Walsh (fiancé Fred), Daniel Renninger (companion Kayleigh), Rebecca Saintz (fiancé Chad), Melissa (Chevy) Biltz, Christopher (Haley) Jamieson, Stacy (Ray) Tucker, Nicole (Jeff) Reynolds, Michael Montgomery, Samantha (Jake) Hart. Twenty-three great grandchildren and ten great great grandchildren, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews.
Her family will receive family and friends on Thursday, May 28, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home, 303 North Washington Street, Titusville, PA. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home immediately following the viewing with Reverend Loren Little from Crawford County Hospice officiating.
Interment will be at Jamison Corners Cemetery, Venango County.
