Virgil W. Anderson Sr., 79, of Pleasantville, passed away on December 13, 2025, at the Titusville Area Hospital.
Virgil was born on November 10, 1946, in Tionesta, a son of the late Edith May Proctor and Kenneth C. Anderson.
He attended Tionesta Area Schools. Virgil began working in the woods at a young age but ultimately worked for DCNR Forestry for many years.
Virgil was an avid deer hunter, fisherman, trapper in his youth and enjoyed going on long ATV rides in the summertime.
He is survived by his children, Virgil Anderson Jr. of Pleasantville, Justin Bailey of Corry, PA, and Steve Westfall of Buffalo, NY; his grandson, Ryan M. Anderson of Pleasantville; his siblings, Willard L. Anderson of Pleasantville, Mary Bailes of Pleasantville, Wanda Wilcox of Union City, and Linda McMunn of Allenville, Kentucky; and his beloved dog, Salina the American Bully.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Ronald E. Anderson, Kenneth C. Anderson Jr., Robert A. Anderson, Rudolph P. Anderson, Evelyn Porcenaluk, and Vera Lasher.
No services will be observed.
