William Kelly Obituary

On September 9th, 2024, William "Wild Bill" Kelly, 63, of Cooperstown, went to be with the Lord, surrounded by his loving family.

Bill was born on August 9, 1961, in Roaring Springs, PA. He was raised by his grandmother Viola Kelly. He always claimed he was 62 because he didn't want to admit that he was older than his wife Lori Kelly. They were married on April 21, 1989, in Virginia.

He was a man of many traits and worked numerous jobs throughout his life. He loved owning his own construction company, Kelly Contracting, for the last few years of his life.

Bill worked every day until he couldn't anymore. He was a man who would help anyone in need at the drop of a dime. His children and grandchildren were most important to him, he would move heaven and Earth for them.

He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years Lori Kelly; his sons, Scott Wheeling and wife Dayna, Gregory Foster, and Sonny Kelly, all of Sunville; his daughter, Dyanna Kelly "Nanabug" and her Fiancé Ben Lord; a daughter in law, Cody Bucholz; and his grandchildren, Elijah "Chico" Campbell, Gage Wheeling, Ryleigh Evans, Bayleigh Kelly, Sophya "Pya" Kelly, Lydia Smith, and Lylah Kelly; his sisters, Theresa, Lori, Brenda, Darla, Shari and Peggy; his brother, Mike; his aunt, Josephine "Peen" Finnagan; and uncle Dick "Poke" Kelly.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Garrett Kelly, his sister Nancy Black, his father-in-law Dick Wheeling and his loyal Chocolate Lab Jake.

Bill was a light in this dark world. He leaves behind a legacy of love that will shine forever. The family asks that you celebrate his life, tell his stories and memories for years to come. Remember his contagious laugh and smile.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at the Chapmanville Community Church, 1043 Leboeuf Trail Road, Titusville PA, 16354. Visiting hours will be from 11 AM to 1 PM, with a funeral service to follow.
