William C McGarvie, Jr.

William C. "Bill" McGarvie, Jr., 72, of Titusville, passed away on Friday, June 5, 2026, at UPMC Passavant in Wexford after an extended illness.

Bill was born on March 26, 1954, in Titusville to the late William C. and Clarice Lamers McGarvie.

He was a graduate of Titusville High School, Class of 1972, and Triangle Technical Institute of Pittsburgh with a degree in Drafting.

He was a veteran who had served in the United States Army.

Bill worked as a self-employed contractor for many years.

Bill enjoyed hiking, going to the beach, and being around animals, and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by two daughters, Tedra McGarvie of Titusville, and Starine McGarvie and Shawn Marty of Utica; five grandchildren, Matthew Peterson, Trevor McGarvie, Tyra McGarvie, Dezerea Frederick, and Skylar Kirch; six great grandchildren, Sadie, Annabelle, Piper, Ashton, Ainsley, and Kayden; a brother, Richard McGarvie, and wife Brenda of Summerville, SC; two sisters, Linda Halfast of Titusville and Kathy Nicholson of Warren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his daughter, Billie Jo McGarvie; two brothers, John and Brian McGarvie; two brothers-in-law, Clifford Halfast and Thomas Nicholson; and his former wife, Sandra Nichols McGarvie.

A celebration of life for Bill will be held Saturday, June 13th at 1 p.m. at 13323 State Hwy 8, Titusville, PA 16354.
