Yvonne Marie Wagner, 77, of Cooperstown, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh after a sudden illness.
Yvonne was born on April 30, 1947, in Franklin to the late Harold and Genevieve (Baellic) Butryn . She married Clyde G. Wagner on July 11, 1970, at St. Venetian Church in Rouseville. Clyde precededed her in death on July 7, 2010.
She was a graduate of Oil City High School, class of 1965. She attended Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh for fashion and interior design.
Yvonne was employed for 35 years at the former Heist Furniture in Titusville, and then with Parker Furniture for 7 years. She retired in 2013, but stayed active working at Wilcox Nursey and Candy's Greenhouse. She was a member of the Bradleytown Community Church.
Yvonne was a very active person, always putting others first. She hosted weekly card club for close friends every Saturday. She enjoyed attending to her flower gardens, cooking, and doing whatever was necessary to help others. She loved to bake cookies for everyone, especially her famous chocolate chip cookies. Yvonne dearly loved being with her grandchildren, who were her world. Spending time with her family and friends was very important to her. She was an avid race fan who spent over 10 years being a suite host at Sharon Speedway. She has followed the Blaney family in their racing throughout the years.
Yvonne is survived by her son, Chad Wagner and wife Wanda of Meadville, two grandchildren, Brock and Ainsley Wagner of Meadville; two sisters, Joyce Proper and husband Gary of Dempseytown, Beverly Sagan and husband Fred of Sunville; a brother-in-law, Bill Wagner and wife Deanna of Sunville; a sister-in-law, Diane Keener and husband Melvin "Turtle" of Titusville; nine nieces and nephews, Eric Proper, Aaron Proper, Bill Keener, Tammy Peiffley, Doug Sagan, Jodi Wagner, Joy Butryn, Lynette Smith, Neal Sagan; several great nieces and nephews; and her beloved cat, Checkers.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Jean Coryea.
Visitation will be held at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home Inc. 303 N. Washington St. Titusville on Sunday, March 23rd from 3 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted from the Bradleytown Community Church 1971 Bradleytown Rd., Cooperstown, PA 16317 on Monday at 10 a.m. with Pastor Jerry Burns, officiating.
Internment will be at Sunville Cemetery.
